■ Academic career

In September 1988, he was admitted to the Northeast Agricultural University majoring in plant protection. In July 1988, he graduated from the university with a bachelor's degree in agronomy. In September 1992, he was admitted to the Northeast Agricultural University majoring in agricultural insects and pest control, studying for a master's degree, and graduated in July 1995 with a master's degree in agronomy. In September 2003, he was admitted to the Key Laboratory of Molecular Enzymology Engineering of the Ministry of Education, majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology, Jilin University, studying for a doctorate degree. In July 2007, he graduated with a doctorate degree.
